| The Red Garter proudly offers lodging, a small town bakery and a gift shop in a beautifully restored two-story Victorian Romanesque style brick building constructed in 1897 as a saloon and bordello. Restoration of the twelve foot high ceilings, skylights and distinctive wood trim, along with antique furnishings, capture the 1890's atmosphere without giving up the comfort and security expected by today's traveler. Our guests can expect a comfortable room, a great breakfast and a host to direct your travels to watch elk herds at dusk, visit a ghost town or indian ruin, see the red rocks of Sedona, enjoy old Route 66 or sit by a quiet fishing lake. The wonders of the Grand Canyon, of course, are just an hour away, so plan on spending at least two days to fully see and enjoy The Red Garter, Williams and the entire Grand Canyon area. The Red Garter Bakery prepares special pastries, fruit, juice and freshly ground gourmet coffee each morning for guests, local residents and other visitors to Williams. Some of the special baked goods include: scones, cinnamon rolls, croissants, Danish pastries and a variety of breads. |
