Recapture the Simplicity - at the Balsam Mountain Inn. National Geographic recently recognixed this inn , opened in 1908 just off the Blur Ridge Parkway, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, as one of the treasures of Appalachia, representing its history and culture.
Visitors find 50 guestrooms and suites, each with its own unique decor, size and layout. Enjoy the simplicity of no phones (land line or cell), tv,or radio.
The inn's amenities include: Seven Springs restaurant, a 2,000-volume library, two meeting rooms, card/puzzle room, sitting parlor, hiking trails, gift shop and two 100-foot porches, perfect for rocking and relaxing (take a NC rocker home with you if you find you might not be able to live without one).
