Graystone Inn, originally ?he Bridgers Mansion,?was built in 1905-1906 by Elizabeth Haywood Bridgers, widow of Preston L. Bridgers, local merchant and son of Robert Rufus Bridgers, past president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railway, founder of the Wilmington/Weldon Railroad, and two time representative to the Confederate Congress. Named One of Americas "Top 10 Most Romantic Inns", by American Historic Inns.
