The Old Rose Tavern B & B was established in 1835 for aristocratic travelers to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in historic Madison and Culpeper Counties in Virginia. It is located within a few miles of the Shenandoah National Park and is 22 miles north of Charlottesville, Virginia in Virginia Wine country. There are dozens of wineries, lots of antiquing, historic sites such as Montpelier, Monticello, Ashlawn, Historic Michie Tavern, Civil War sites, hiking trails including Appalachian Trail, Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Parkway, and fantastic restaurants all within minutes of this romantic location.
