The long-stemmed white rose and a note on the bed promised an extra measure of warmth and hospitality, and everyone at The Copper Beech Inn made good on that promise. Dinner was a dizzying combination of excellent food and solicitous service, the dining room, filled with elegantly dressed diners exuded an energetic buzz.(Boston Sunday Globe, January 2005). This gracious Victorian, in Ivoryton, one of three picturesque villages that make up the town of Essex, has been selected as the Best Country Inn in Connecticut by Connecticut Magazine, September 2003 & 2004. Just minutes from the scenic Connecticut River and Long Island Sound, the Inn is just a two-hour drive from New York City or Boston.
