Located on a working sheep farm just five miles from Historic Lexington, Lavender Hill Farm offers a convenient yet quiet place to spend a week or a weekend. It can serve equally well as a home base for exploring Lexington and the surrounding area, or as a place for rediscovering what a quiet day was meant to be. Explore the pastures, take in mountain views, and visit the sheep. Or perhaps you might just relax on the porch with a cool drink and enjoy the view and sounds of the creek. Fishing and birding are also popular pastimes. For the adventurous at heart we offer horseback riding packages or bring your bike and take in the breathtaking scenery of our area. The Innkeepers, John and Sarah Burleson, have combined hospitality, comfort and superb food to create an inn worth revisiting. John, with roots in Virginia, grew up in Germany and the food he prepares clearly shows his appreciation for European and Southern cooking. Sarah is a native Virginian (her middle name is even Virginia) and is partial to making homemade bread, cookies and pies. She'll be glad to help you plan your day or introduce you to the farm animals.
