Fox Creek B&B is located 12 miles north of downtown Fairbanks in the old mining town of Fox, Alaska. The superinsulated, cedar-sided house has a large deck and its wooded location gives a quiet, secluded, rustic feeling. The Aurora Borealis, or ""northern lights"", is frequently seen between September and April and wildlife sightings are a regular occurrence. All guests are invited to use the cozy living room, TV, VCR and woodstove. Video rentals are available nearby in Fox. A large garage may be used for minor repairs. The town of Fox is on the crossroads to two different hot springs, the Yukon river, the Arctic Circle and Prudhoe Bay. Fox also offers several excellent restaurants, gold panning, gold dredge tours and the world famous Howling Dog Saloon.Arna, who runs the B&B and Jeff, a freelance videographer, enjoy skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Arna also enjoys feeding a wide variety of wild birds at several outdoor feeders. The Fays serve a hearty, Alaska-style breakfast featuring muffins or pancakes with handpicked local blueberries, homemade cinnamon rolls, reindeer sausage, fresh fruit and fresh ground coffee. The Fays love Alaska and look forward to sharing it with their guests!
