Sky chalet is a mountain top hideaway in the Shenandoah Valley. Germans built Sky Chalet in 1937, which is why The Old World Lodge at Sky Chalet has a European architecture and style. Lodging was added in the 40s, 50s and 70s.As in yesteryear, the Lodging is rustic and comfortable. There are individual rooms with private baths. The Treetop Lodge has private baths, living rooms, working fireplacess and decks. A continental breakfast is delivered to your room or cabin each morning. To insure total relaxation, the Inn does not have TV or telephones. The cool mountain air with breezes replace air conditioning. You'll find hammocks and rocking chairs, perfect for reading, relaxing, mountain gazing and star gazing. The area offers hiking, attractions, activities, and restaurants. We welcome individuals, couples, honeymooners, families, special interest groups and small retreats. The Old World Lodge at Sky Chalet is available for guests to enjoy the spectacular viewss from the various verandahs, decks and patio. the charm, ambiance, fireplaces and views of the Old World Lodge is perfect for weddings, wedding receptions, reunions, seminars or other special events for a completely memorable occasion or function.
