When you enter the Washington Street Inn you will immediately notice the art of master wood workers. The staircase is made of solid cherry and two fireplaces are also trimmed with cherry, one of which features a stained glass window centered in the mantle for unusual effect. Another stained glass is on the second floor. A classic foyer, the living room, dining room and kitchen all have hardwood floors. Antiques are found throughout the home and includes a 3000 piece Occupied Japan collection, some of which is offered for purchase. The Inn, however, still exudes an atmosphere that might best be described as "comfortable Victorian" with the furnishings attractive, but inviting. There are two porches for relaxation and a peaceful yard to enjoy with seasonal garden accents. You may also elect to snack in the sit down kitchenette or retire to your room with a bowl of popcorn, a soda, and watch tv.
