| Main Stay Cottages offer travelers an opportunity to enjoy modern cabins on the shore of Henry's Cove overlooking Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park.
The four cottages can accommodate sixteen people and the grounds are welcoming to family reunions, yet private for individual rentals. Each cottage has a private outside deck and access to a lawn area with picnic table and charcoal barbecue. Boathouse The second floor of the boathouse has been totally remodeled to offer a one-bedroom modernized Maine experience for travelers, who wish to depart from the traditional hotel rooms which are often predictable across the country. The building extends over the water on pilings and the deck brings you an ocean experience without the inconvenience of living on a boat. You can observe the native sea birds as they visit the cove, watch the sail boat races from the neighboring yacht club or patiently wait for a harbor seal to emerge from the water to do their own observations of new guests on their shorefront. The boathouse is fully equipped for cooking, has a comfy queen sized bed, shower and a living area that offers cable television or a view of the flames from the gas fireplace after the sun goes down. Ledgelawn Cottage Ledgelawn is perched on the outcropping of ledge that separates the ocean from our home and and its name was derived from the original phone exchange that preceded area codes and multiple digits. The deck overlooks Pearl? attempt at a perennial flower garden with unobstructed views of the cove. This is a modern one-bedroom cabin with full kitchen, including microwave and dishwasher. The living area has polished hard wood floors, which invite you to take your shoes off and stay awhile, complete with a gas fireplace and cable television. There is a queen bed, day bed and a cot that easily accommodates a family of four. The bath has a tub/shower and a washer/dryer. The cottage is equipped with cooking utensils and linens. This cedar-shingled cottage was built with the conveniences of a very comfortable home away from home. Rate: $115.00 per night
Little Cranberry Cottage This traditional one room Maine cottage by the sea is done in cedar on the inside and out. The cheerful red accents throughout lend it the name: Cranberry with the comforts of a pillow-topped queen bed and recliners overlooking the cove or cable television. We invite you to prepare your own lobster meal with a fully equipped kitchen and a private patio for sunshine and natural breezes. A gas furnace is available, if needed, and the bathroom has a shower. This cottage is new to guests for the 2004 season and has the combined coziness of a cabin with the amenities of home. Linens and kitchen equipment are included. Rate: $90.00 per night
Crow's Nest Cottage A second floor guest room with a private entrance has an outside deck overlooking the harbor. It has French doors opening to a large room with hardwood floors, queen bed, television, gas fireplace and reclining love seat. The private bathroom has a shower. Rate: $80.00 per night. Captain Lyde's Cottage The soft, gray weathering of the cedar shingles is accented by crisp, white trim and wicker on the lower and second floor decks. This four bedroom home has three bathrooms and custom cabinets in the modern kitchen all overlooking Henry's Cove and Mark Island Lighthouse. The house was built by a local sea captain about 100 years ago. It has been remodeled and readied for the 2006 season, offering sunny lodging and relaxation for reunions with family and friends. Beds invite you to nap with a down comforter, as you enjoy the quiet of our seaside neighborhood. Backyard trails lead to a beach ready for discovering your sea glass treasures.
