| Flowers and Thyme Bed & Breakfast is located on a one acre lot in a rural, country setting. Our bed & breakfast is only 1 mile from US Rt. 30 and within 5 miles of the unique towns of Strasburg, Bird-In-Hand, and the surrounding Amish country. We are 1 mile from the Tanger Outlet Center at Millstream and 2 miles from Rockvale Square Outlets. We're also within minutes of restaurants, antique and flea markets, country auctions, golf courses, miniature golf, hiking trails, public swimming pool, plus all the beautiful scenery Lancaster County offers. Built in 1941, our brick colonial house was constructed by an Amishman for a Mennonite family of five children. In 1964, it was sold and then served as a tourist home in the late 60's and early 70's. In 1992, it underwent extensive remodeling and a Gathering Room was added with lots of windows and a vaulted ceiling, where breakfast is now served. In July 1994, the B&B opened its doors to the public. Come and enjoy our pastoral farm view from the rocking chairs on the front porch, the perennial flowers mixed with annuals and the herb gardens on our grounds, or a quiet evening on the patio. All of our cheery rooms are tastefully decorated. They feature antiques, homemade quilts, wreaths, cross-stitch wallhangings, fresh flowers and plants. All rooms are centrally air-conditioned for your comfort. We have three common area rooms which are reserved for conversation, reading, watching TV, or playing board games. A full hearty breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, hot entre? homemade baked goods, coffee, tea, and juices is served at 8:30a.m.
