While elegance is the hallmark of this beautiful
and historic Italianate-style home, your hosts
have created an inviting and comfortable
atmosphere that is sure to please
everyone who enters. From the well-
appointed antique Victorian furnishings
(including a 1912 player piano) to the
beautifully landscaped garden complete with
swimming pool and hot tub, every
guest can find the perfect spot to soothe their
spirit.
Our lush garden has been transformed
recently into a resort-like oasis,
complete with in-ground swimming pool and
hot tub. There are still plenty of private spots
for our guests to savor a morning cup of
coffee, settle down with a good book, or
enjoy an evening cocktail. The base of the
home's original cistern provides a home for
our Rebecca fountain and Chinese goldfish,
while other gazebos, fountains and ponds
adorn the garden.
Back inside, plaster ceiling medallions
adorn the foyer, dining room, parlor and
solarium, while the main focal point of the
home's interior is the convergence of three
separate archways, extending over the
double-parlor and solarium. The union of these
arches reaches toward the floor and is
suspended effortlessly in mid-air. This area
provides the perfect setting for a wedding
ceremony or the renewal of your marriage
vows. The dining room features an 11-
foot oak table which provides a casually
elegant setting for breakfast. Eleven
fireplaces grace the home, including two in the
parlor, which feature Italian marble
mantelpieces. Unique cypress mantels add
their own distinctive flavor to each guest
room's ambiance. Original cypress millwork
and transoms exist throughout the home.
Comfortable queen sized beds and
modern amenities are included in every guest
room. Leave your irons, hair dryers,
bathrobes and slippers at home, as all of
those creature comforts are supplied for you.
Each room is also equipped with a ceiling fan,
safe, and digital satellite television. We're Open All Year! |
