Blue Heron Seaside Inn

Rated 5.0: A family wedding brought my husband and me to the Booth Bay area, and we decided to stay for a vacation. We were looking for for a place that was small and quiet yet close to restaurants, shops, and recreation. I feel forutnate that I found The Blue Heron in my web search. The Inn is even lovelier and more welcoming than the wonderful pictures at the website convey. The Chapmans have designed a B and B with the amenities that every guest can appreciate- a cozy home with spacious rooms and baths decorated with beauty and comfort in mind. After a busy day of sightseeing, we were grateful to make a cup of tea in the microwave and to fall into a sumptuous king sized bed. The view of the waterway from the room as well as the deck was another plus. A simple but hearty breakfast was a great way to start the day with with suggestions from Laurie and Phil about things to do and good travel routes. I especially liked the take away trays or tables for two if we preferred a quiet breakfast rather than socializing. We enjoyed both. I highly recommend the Chapmans as gracious hosts with just the right balance of interest in guests and respect for privacy. Their hospitality and their lovely home added much to the pleasure of our holiday. And the Blue Heron Seaside Inn even has blue herons that wade and feed at low tide! The perfect touch.

Rated 5.0: There is so many wonderful things to say about the inn and the inn keepers . This inn is a family owned property and is run by phil & laurie chapman , whom are the most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting . Their devotion of making my stay comfortable and personalized was of the utmost . The inn has been completly restored and is flawless inside and out . The grounds with gardens and sitting areas make you feel even more at home . Each room of the inn is generious in size accented and decorated with antiques from england and korea collected by phil and laurie . the location of the inn is in the heart of boothbay harbor with so you can well imagine the views from the rooms and balconies . With many specialty stores, fine resturaunts and all american inn keeping , this is truly the inn to stay .
