Key West Bed and Breakfast

Rated 5.0: The beginning of this month I had the pleasure of staying at one of our long time member? establishments, The Key West Bed and Breakfast in Key West, Florida. We chose this B and B because of the wonderful reviews we?e had over the years on TheInnkeeper.com. The Innkeeper Jody and all of the staff were fantastic and very helpful. We stayed in the Pink Room, (which despite my excitement, turned out not to be pink at all), and it was a perfect fit for us. Simple but comfortable and located on the second floor, the ?ink Room?was conveniently located steps from the hammock on the front porch which we napped in the first afternoon of our stay. I do believe that was runner-up for my favorite part of the trip. However the award simply has to go to breakfast, which quite honestly blew me away. I went to bed at night looking forward to breakfast in the morning! In fact one morning I got up extra early just so I could be the first in the kitchen that morning? I don? even know where to start in describing the food! The entire kitchen was filled to the brim with amazing fruit baskets, fresh bagels and breads, and yummy breakfast pies. We sat out in the back deck area as we ate, which reminded me of a rainforest with all the beautiful foliage. Another neat feature about the back deck was the Jacuzzi/pool which in the summertime is not heated and is the perfect refresher after being in the Florida heat all day. On our last day check out time was around 11 and our ferry didn? leave until 6. I was afraid we were going to have to lug our bags around with us for the day, but Jodi was so wonderful she not only let us leave our bags, but told us we were welcome to lounge in the common room, use the pool, and even take showers if we liked. We shall certainly return to The Key West Bed and Breakfast and have told everyone we?e talked to what a great experience we had!
