Rated 4.5: This unique B&B is really a little gem in the heart of Charleston. My wife and I stayed here on the way driving down to Florida at the recommendation of friends. A little tricky to find, since as the name implies, it is on a small alley. The two gentleman that bought this place (orignally from the NYC tri-state area) had it completely renovated. (ask them to show you the before and after picture book) Room was spacious and elegantly appointed. Bathroom was beautiful. Met a lovely couple at breakfast (which was good, but not outstanding) and chatted about politics in the South. Owners were a bit parental-like as they called us when we were still on the road in Charlotte and asked, "Where are you???" a little stunned that we hadn't arrived yet. Apparently since there are only a few rooms, they like to get a handle on when all their guests will be checking in. All and all a beautiful, quite, and elegant place to stay in Historic Charleston.
