| Glenwood House B&B and Cottage Suites Current rating:
(5.0 out of 5.0)

| Rated 5.0: My husband surprised me with a trip out east for our 10th anniversary and we stayed 2 nights at The Glenwood House. It was terrific! Andrea is a very warm, caring and generous hostess and her home is so inviting and beautifuly kept. If you are travelling near New York City and want a place in the country but not too far to drive to get back to the airport I would highly reccommend this b&b. |

| Rated 5.0: My wife and I LOVED this b&b!!! The new swimming pool is awesome. Absolutely resort quality. Andrea doesn't even show it on her website yet so you better book now before the pictures go up. We tryed to book for our anniversary last year and then for my birthday in September but apparently The Glenwood House books up months in advance. We're going to book for next year now so we get in!
Andrea makes wonderful and filling breakfasts and we were able to eat by the pool. My wife had a massage out on deck which she loved and we went to the nearby drive-in movie. There is plenty to do in the area, wineries, shops, antiques, farmers markets, etc. but if it rains Andrea has hundreds of videos and books and the wrap around porch is very deep so you could spend all day reading out there. The outdoor furniture is all deep cushioned with lots of lounges so you don't have to fight over them with other guests!
I would highly recommend The Glenwood House B&B. |

| Rated 5.0: Andrea gets our vote for THE BEST innkeeper ever! If only all innkeepers were as down to earth as Andrea. A great conversationalist, there is always something to learn from her as she seems to be THE Jill of all trades! Meeting Andrea was the best part of our stay - this said from Judy who is usually very cranky and anti-social in the morning - but we ended up overstaying our last morning after breakfast, happily chatting away with Andrea. And leaving with a big hug and kiss as if we had known each other for years! Fellow innkeepers should take notes!
The house is absolutely beautiful and one can sense the feeling of pride and hard work that was put into every single detail! The crown moldings that Andrea put up herself, the excellent taste in linens and wallpapers, and even an antique bookholder that tempted Judy to make an offer for purchase! =) (We decided it would be better taken cared of by Andrea!)
You know you're in the right place when you have breakfast where the main ingredient is love. Breakfast was filling, tasty and very satisfying!
We stayed in the Lord Byron Suite and it was pure luxury! The fireplace really warmed up the room with a quickness as it was freezing outside. The jacuzzi was heavenly complete with candles and a set of bath products at our disposal.
It is, in every sense of the phrase, "A Home Away from Home".
Thank you Andrea! |
