Jewel Lake Bed and Breakfast

Current rating: (4.9 out of 5.0)

Rated 5.0: I've booked family and friends as well as business associates in hotels and bed & breakfasts for years and I have to say that I am particularily impressed by the people who run this establishment. It has all of the things people coming to Alaska want: location! friendliness! cleanliness! views! location! I mean it is 15 mintues from everything, it is located in a beautiful part of town, very safe with grocery stores, gas stations, and even a fun family activity bowling alley near by. Now, the inside is quite quaint with an adorable dining and living room, the food is homemade and scrumpcious - with homemade waffles served most days! The rooms are spacious and very very clean. I give this place a 10 out of 10 - thanks guys! I will use you again and again!

Rated 4.0: As an Alaskan resident who passes by from time to time for a visit, I've personally experienced excellent experiences while visiting. Every time I drop in for a visit, the guests are in great moods and the atmosphere is inviting! If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting our great state I personally reccommend Jewel Lake B&B. And nope, not just saying this good stuff on a biased opinion. When I have out of state company, JLB&B is where they will stay! After meeting the hosts anyone would feel like they have made true friends for life!

Rated 5.0: What a fabulous host Troy was!! He even gave us information on where we could find moose to photograph. It's obvious he has much pride in his inn, and he maintains an absolutely spotless home. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived to the heartfelt "have a good trip" we were warmly extended on our departure. You betcha we'll be back again!!

Rated 5.0: The owner even helped us clean and cook clams that we had gotten from the beaches of Clam Gulch! He found out how to clean them, helped us cook them, and even made home-made clam chowder the next day with the left-overs! He helped us find a alternative b&b when he was full, and even discounted his rates for extended stay. We can't say enough about Troy! We had only wished that moose would have made a appearance in his back yard, but he even had pictures of those who did.... Thank you, Troy, for a wonderful time.
