Forty Putney Road B&B

Rated 5.0: We stayed at 40 Putney Road for just one night - very cute place. Somewhat eclectic styling of the common areas, but the room we stayed in was definitely nice. There was a fireplace and a sitting area and it overlooked the back yard and the river. VERY convenient to town - short walk down the road - which is why we chose to stay here in the first place. Some great restaurants downtown - as well as some decent bars / pubs. It was pretty cold when we were there - but the B&B backs up to a pretty big lake - just down a hill. There was a trail along the water that people were jogging on - there were also people ice fishing on the water. As for the Inn - it was very comfortable- simple and well appointed. The innkeepers were very nice - there? a small pub in the front of the place where you can have a glass of wine or a beer by a fireplace - pretty cute. Breakfast was simple but good - there were buffet style cereals, granola, fruit etc... as well as a made to order hot breakfast (omelets the day we were there) with juice, coffee etc... We will definitely stay here again when we come back in the fall!
