Rated 5.0: We recently returned from a long weekend at the Boathouse. We stayed in the Adirondack Suite, one of two air-conditioned suites with private balconies in the separate Carriage House. Charmingly decorated in a "log cabin" style, this very private and roomy suite has a terrific king-sized bed, cozy gas fireplace, and an amazing bathroom with whirlpool. Every inch of this suite was gorgeous and sparkling clean. Our hosts were extremely gracious, and breakfast was delicious. The beautiful main house and porch are just wonderful, with great views of the lake and super-comfortable furniture. How much did we like it (even though it rained for four days)? We immediately booked an extended stay for next year! Expensive? You absolutely get what you pay for at the Boathouse. Our days of staying in run-down Lake George center are over.
