Munro House B&B and Spa

Current rating: (5.0 out of 5.0)

Rated 5.0: My boyfriend and I went there for my 25th birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Though it was winter, the rooms were very cosy and clean, there was a wonderful modern fireplace and jacuzzi. My boyfriend and I found everything just perfect and comfortable. Soft bed, slean sheets, nice view, pretty little town. Mike and Lori are excellent hosts, they serve a huge breakfast everymorning and provide gift vouchers for lunch and dinner, depending on your package which were at great resturants. I loved the elizabeth style rooms, though ours was more modern, clara's room they called it. It was just beautiful, Jonesville is a beautiful place to cuddle up with your honey. I was (and still am) so in love then, I was 25, happy and Munro B&B made my experience one I would never forget. Even when we had weather problems, Mike and Lori WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to accomodate us, were going to lower the rates for a lower night, helped me call the airport to change my flight back home and even drove with me to the airport. i am going back in the summer this year. i absolutely loved it. And if you haven't been, you are missing a lot on some good hospitality, good food, wonderful spa service and some of the most curteous people in America.

Rated 5.0: Having read about the Munro Inn in Midwest Living several years ago, I was anxious to come here to stay. You see my maiden name is Munro, which is a rare spelling. So we decided to take a mini vacation here. What a fantastic place we happened on, and guess what? We ARE related to George Munro! How neat! This is the "icing on the cake" of an incredible piece of history. Our room, the house, Mike & Lori, who are such warm people, have made this all worthwhile. Even down to the dogs, Gilbert and Reggie, easing our homesickness for our dog, Daisy. It has been an incredible experience and we haven't even had breakfast yet!

Rated 5.0: We had a wonderful stay here at the Munroe House. Our group of 14 had a great Roaring 20's dinner party. We were fortunate enough to get the best room in the house. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub and fireplace. Thanks for everything.

Rated 5.0: We were here for our 17th wedding anniversary, and have traveled to many B&B's. This is most definitely one of the best! Lori, your stories were interesting, and Mike, you're one heck of a cook!! You two were surely cut out to be B&B hosts. The house is beautiful and George's Room is awesome!! Thanks for the memories!! P.S Your doggies are precious!!

Rated 5.0: Mike & Lori--Thanks for putting up with us--for years now! Your home is beautiful--but your natural interest and kindness toward people is what's most rewarding. See you at least twice a year for the next five years or so!

Rated 5.0: This was my first visit to Hillsdale and Jonesville. Since this house was full on 8/14 I had to stay in Jackson. I stayed at a famous name hotel in Jackson. I'm SO glad I only had to stay there for one night. This place is so comfortable. I was a little bit uncertain about staying at a B&B. Now I will look for one to stay at when traveling. If I ever get a chance to come back here on business, I will request the Munro House. I felt comfortable the minute I arrived

Rated 5.0: I came to Hillsdale on business from Traverse City...the only hotel in Hillsdale was full...WHAT LUCK!! I feel like Cinderella--such an amazing treat for a business traveler! (I'm already trying to think of a reason to travel downstae again!) Thanks for the hospitality--your bed & breakfast should be renamed to say HOME!
