Not only the house and the rooms are cozy and very well decorated but the owners are also delightful and we greatly enjoyed their company! Special mention for the breakfasts: they are to die for!! | Rated 5.0: We came to the Baird house to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, and we were treated like royalty! Deede made suggestions (and the reservations) for restaurants and things to do in the area alomost immediately upon receiving our reservation, and even arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to the Inn. Tom called us the morning of our arrival to let us know that our room was ready if we wanted to come early, and then met us at the door, showed us around, and declared us officially checked in as he gave us some of Deede's famous peanut butter-oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies. We were quickly spoiled to delicious beakfast served at the dining table every morning at 9:00, and to the conversations with the other guests and our hosts that most assuredly followed. To top it all off, Tom made sure that firewood for our wood burning fireplace was in our room each night. We will definitely be back! |

Tom and Deede go beyond the call of making you feel welcome and the breakfast in the mornings were wonderful, no need for lunch. Even with the warm weather rooms were comfortable without a/c. I would definitely return for a visit when back in the area. |

The Hinsons go above and beyond to provide the most comfortable and relaxed environment and allow you to feel at home. Tom & DeeDee make you feel special and a part of their family without hovering over you and their warm personalities can not be matched in any hotel, motel or resort. Typically the weekend ends and you are left with a feeling of overwhelming satisfaction and the graciousness of new friends. The breakfast only leaves you craving more and you look forward to the next stay. The decor, the hospitality, the cleanliness and the serene atmosphere leaves you begging for a quick return trip. I cant imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Baird House for knowing what makes a HOME! |

| Rated 5.0: Do you ever feel like you have met somebody and felt like you have known them a life time? Well the innkeepers at the Baird House, Tom and Deede, give you that feeling. Their hospitality and friendliness is far above the norm. The Baird House gives you the feeling of coming back home again. The service is great, that food is excellent and the house is beautiful. A very cozy and historical house tucked away off the beaten path, but close enough to all the fun stuff in Valley Crucis, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Linville. This is our second visit to the Baird house and will not be our last. Thank goodness I don? live there because I would get fat off of Deede? fine cooking. Our first visit, five years ago was great, and was my first experience at a bed and breakfast. In between our visits at the Baird House we have stayed at a few bed and breakfasts, and I have always compared the other place to the Baird House since it has set the standard in bed and breakfasts. Make sure you hit up the cookie jar to get a taste of Deede? homemade cookies. Yummy!!!! |

| Rated 5.0: My husband and I spent our first anniversary with the kind folks at the Baird House. I can only say that we hope to spend our next 50 there. From the time that we arrived we were made to feel like we were at home, and that Tom and DeeDee had known us all their life. It was a very comfortable setting and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a comfortable place to go as a getaway, It has all anyone could ask for - beautifu scenery, wonderful food and homey and welcoming rooms- and lets not forget the neverending cookie jar, that my husband could not seem to stay out of. It was a wonderful and relaxing trip.

The Baird House is a home away from home--full of great food, fun, and fellowship. We have stayed at sveral B&B's and this is by far our favorite! What a relaxing and peaceful place. We will be back! | Rated 5.0: This was our second stay with Tom and Deede. Once again, we had a wonderful time. The inn is so relaxing and in such a great location! Tom and Deede make us feel like family - they are so much fun! Breakfast is truly unbeatable, especially the stuffed french toast, which is my favorite. They were kind enough to make great dinner reservations for us, also. I highly recommend the Baird House. |

The accomodations are outstanding...The rooms are beautifully decorated and the home sits on some of the most beath taking property I've ever seen. I love to spend the day strolling around the grounds and turning into a cozy room at night. DeeDe and Tom are always such wonderful hosts, and DeeDe always makes a delicious country breakfast! I hope to spend many more birthdays with the Hinsons and the Baird House. |

Tom and Deede are generous and hospitable hosts. the setting is scenic and the atmosphere relaxing. we stay in one of the rooms in the carriage house for some extra privacy, but always find ourselves migrating to the main house kitchen to hang out and chat with Tom and Deede.
at the Baird House, you're comfortable, you're needs are attended to, you're part of the family and you simply hate to leave. |

| Rated 5.0: I can't help but reiterate what we wrote in the journal of glowing commentaries which was on our nightstand in the beautifully decorated Aunt Grace's room.
Out of five years of staying in B&B's exclusively, the Baird House is the best!! Spending time with Tom and Deede was like reuniting with old friends. Their
knowledge of the area is extensive, their restaurant recommendations were delicious, their home was a relaxing step back in time, and their breakfast was a
medley of taste and delightful conversation. The Baird House is a blessing to all who enter and we plan to make it a vacation tradition. Thanks Tom and Deede! |

| Rated 5.0: Enjoyed staying at the Baird House. I can't say enough good about my stay there. The house is beautiful, the owners were wonderful people, very attentive to their guests and it was obvious they enjoy doing what they're doing.
The rates were very fair, the food excellent and I would highly recommend the Baird House to anyone interested in staying at a Bed and Breakfast.
The house is located in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been to.
All in all I would rate the experience an A++

| Rated 5.0: Geeze oh petes, Tom, Deede, and the whole family made me feel right at home. Well, not quite - I don't have it this good at home (smile). The inn and the whole surrounding area is beautiful. It was a very memorable experience that that I would recommend to anyone. I'll fly back from Seattle to do it again!
My experience was heightened by the fact that my GGGGG grandparents built the Baird house in 1790 and that she is buried in a small family graveyard up on the hill. … I'll have to admit I was kinda happy she didn't stop in to say hi though.
