| Bwana Bob's Hawaiian Vacation Cottages for Couples Current rating:
(4.8 out of 5.0)
|
 |
| Rated 5.0: We stayed in the Hawaian cottage and absolutly loved it.
Susan and Steeve were great hosts, attentive to details and respectful of your privacy. The pictures on the web site are not showing the true beauty and serenity of the place. Our general experience has been great, highly recommended. |

| Rated 5.0: This was our 2nd year at the Hawaiian Bungalow and I can't praise this paradise enough. From the wonderful owners, the tropical, peaceful setting or the absolutely fabulous coffee that is fresh roasted and awaiting your arrival. This is not your typical tourist destination but is truly meant for people to enjoy the tranquility of this wonderful island and all it has to offer. The cottages are within a reasonable distance to any and all sightseeing you could want. Snorkeling with the turtles is just a short drive away at Place of Refuge and swimming or just laying in the sun is within a few miles. When you have finished with all that you can return to your own slice of paradise. You absolutely can't go wrong staying at this magical place. We can't wait to return yet again. |

| Rated 5.0: This is our second stay at the Jungle cottage. Excellent value for the dollar, couldn't ask for a nicer place to base yourself while visiting the Big Island. The cottage is so cute and cozy and the ocean, coastline and garden views are gorgeous. We like to have breakfast and lunch on the cottage lanai outside in nature. Everything you need, like at home, to make a nice meal. Then fun to experience the cuisine of the island for dinner. Steve and Susan are great hosts. They have all the beach and snorkeling equipment so you don't have to rent it. The landscape at their place is great to just wander around in amongst the coffee trees along with the fruit trees, colorful tropical plants and flowers. Look for the pretty red cardinal at the bird feeder in the early A.M. while sipping their yummy fresh ground Bwana Bob? Kona coffee. We've now joined their coffee club and have it shipped monthly. |

| Rated 4.5: If you visit the Big Island and want a more authentic experience than the mega-resorts, this is it. Stay in one of the three cottages and you'll feel like you're at your friend's guest house. The cottages are not lavish but fun, the grounds are tropical, and the innkeepers are friendly and down-to-earth. The location is great, near Kona but within reach of South Point, the volcano, and snorkling. We stayed in three different locations on the island and this was the best (although I still suggest moving around). Don't be surprised by harmless insects and a misty tropical environ, even in your cottage. It's part of the charm. And note that the very rough 10 minute driveway requires a sturdy vehicle. |
